The "Kimetsu no Utage: Yukaku-hen" event for the Demon Slayer anime revealed a new promotional video for the Swordsmith Village Arc (Katanakaji no Sato-Hen). The video reveals that director Haruo Sotozaki, character designer and chief animation director Akira Matsushima, ufotable animation studio , and the main cast is back for this latest arc of the Demon Slayer anime.

The first season anime series based on Koyoharu Gotouge's Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga premiered in April 2019. Aniplex of America licensed the series and streamed the show on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Funimation. The streaming platform Netflix also streams the hugely popular Demon Slayer anime series.

The anime film Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train began screening in Japan in October 2020. Crunchyroll and Funimation and Netflix are also streaming the film.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc, a seven-episode arc adapting the film Mugen Train, premiered in October 2021. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yukaku-hen) premiered on December 5, 2021 with an hour-long special.

Funimation and Crunchyroll and Netflix are streaming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc.

Gotouge serialized the Demon Slayer manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2016. The manga ended in May 2020. Shueisha published the manga's 23rd compiled book volume, which will be the manga's final volume in December 2020. Viz Media published Demon Slayer manga in English.
